Ventilator/Specialty Respiratory Care Unit

In our 16-bed Respiratory focused unit, we are staffed twenty-four hours a day with Respiratory Therapists who must maintain credentialing with the National Board of Respiratory Care through continuing education and competencies. This brings additional peace of mind to residents who face some of the most challenging of diagnoses and helps to improve their quality of life with focused care.

• Ventilator capabilities to support even complex respiratory residents
• Cough assist and heated high-flow oxygen capabilities
• The facility is equipped with wall access oxygen and suction in each room
• State-of-the-art call bell and alarm systems custom-selected to match each resident’s needs
• Ceiling-mounted motorized lifts available for safety and special needs residents in select rooms, 42” wide beds with pressure-reducing mattresses, flat-screen TV with satellite access
• Ability to care for many neurological disease processes such as ALS, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, and traumatic brain injury in the adult population
• Familiarity with eye gaze technology
